Marketers spend a lot of time thinking up clever, witty, interesting content ideas for campaigns (and spend a lot of money implementing them). What if the content you need is already sitting there in front of you; disguised as some boring yet meaningful security measure.
Harvey Nichols thought outside the box and this is the campaign they came up with. We love this idea. Click the image below, sit back and enjoy…
If you’re an ecommerce company (or you work at one), you’ll know the struggle of getting your checkout process seamless and as user-friendly as possible. You may also be aware that the average basket abandonment rate is around 70%. Now, that sounds daunting, but realistically some of these users had little intention to buy in the first place and there is not much you can do about that (incentivise, you can definitely incentivise). Something made them put those items in their basket, that’s all you can be sure of.
If you send a couple of email campaigns a week with the same messages, predictable clearances and spotlight products, it’s easy to become repetitive to your subscribers. It can get frustrating for the email marketer involved, too. It’s great seeing brands get creative and trying new things to present the same messages (like this Bonobos campaign). It might take a little more time and effort but aren’t your subscribers worth it? Indeed they are.
This April the 28th, our good friends from Campaign Monitor are popping over to Shoreditch as part of their Giving Back Roadshow. We’ve all decided to make the most of being in the same town and thought it would be a good idea to co-host an email meet up.
The event will be a great opportunity to get together, have a drink, eat some food and talk all things email. We’ve managed to pull together an impressive speaker line-up so your bound to leave feeling inspired (and the swag bag is looking pretty awesome too).
The meet up will start at 6pm on the 28th at The Trampery, Old Street, EC1V 9EY – RSVP here
