#Rockettime with Sophie

Our first #RocketTime of the year is here! We are kicking 2019 off by introducing our lovely designer and major yogi Sophie! 🧘‍♀️

Hey Soph! Let’s get cracking… How did you fall into your job role? Have you always been interested in email / digital marketing?

I definitely fell into my role at Action Rocket! I was doing a marketing grad scheme for the Body Shop when a contact for AR was like, you should give me your portfolio and I’ll send it to Elliot. I then met up with Elliot in Brighton and have never looked back since!

What has been a career highlight for you since working here?

My highlight has definitely been watching ActionRocket grow as an agency. I joined back in 2013 when we were just a small team of 6 and now look at us! We’ve come a long way since then.

What’s been your favourite email / project to work on or that you have seen in the industry this year (2018)?

It’s really hard to pick out one project from the whole year. I really enjoyed working on some of the bigger projects such as welcome series and membership programmes. It’s nice when you get to work on a whole series/programme and get to think about the overall user experience and messaging from start to finish.

What are your favourite things about working for ActionRocket?

The lovely friends i’ve made! Even when we are at our busiest, the team are always there for each other. I also enjoy our weekly office yoga – my 2019 resolution is to be able to do a handstand!

What’s your favourite weekend activity?

I love catching up with friends and family, as well as country walks, which ultimately end up involving a pub (or a coffee if we are being sensible)!

Leave us with an interesting fact about yourself…

I’m obsessed with Marmite and Nutella! I put them on everything, but not together, that would be weird! We shall be sitting down with another member of the team next month, so keep your eyes peeled! 👀
