There’s currently a series of tube strikes in London over the next few weeks, and as ever, some brands have been canny in using it as a subject for email campaigns. Here’s a few examples we found:

Uber pointed out that they’re a great alternative, and provided a special new customer offer:uber-tube


Café Rouge invited everyone around for lunch:


… and stopping short of a dedicated campaign, Expedia added a quick note to their header:

    Over the last couple of years I’ve seen lots of companies move into this London-meme space. They make public fun of very current events in the same way people do with memes on social networks. I think its brilliant if you can get the humour right, devastating if you get it wrong.
