Christmas is always a prime season for seeing some of the most creative email designs. Planning starts early, from March in some cases, so it gives teams a lot of time to think up and deploy something innovative.
Here we have New Look, a UK based fashion retailer with it’s pretty cool pixelated animations. We’ve seen GIF’s and personalisation before but we loved the look and feel of this campaign. The use of typography throughout is also something to pay attention too. Take a look and let us know what you think. If you click on the images you’ll be taken to the whole newsletter.
If you receive the #emailweekly regularly, you have been subject to innovative/ridiculous designs, delayed sends, obscure subject lines and the odd error here and there. Some of these were on purpose, others weren’t. I guess you could say we’ve kind of learnt something from each one.
We like to think of the weekly as a playground for email code so we thought we would bare all for the eyes of our subscribers. Here is what we’ve found from AA/AB testing/sending the email weekly so far:
With summer almost over, I thought I’d take a look back at some of my favourite campaigns from this summer and (slightly) beyond. First up, Virgin America.
Recognised as one of the most innovative companies of 2015, it came as no surprise to me when these little gems began to pop up in my inbox. I’ve been following these animations closely this year, even the emails with static images are awesome – but that’s for another post.
