Welcome Weng 🚀

We are happy to introduce Weng to the studio here at ActionRocket, he will be in the Coding and Development team as a coder. 

Hey Weng, it’s great to meet you and a big welcome to the studio! Where have you joined us from?

I was at Tempur Sealy International briefly before coming here but I was at AJ Bell Media for just under 4 years prior to Tempur.

What excites you most about joining us at ActionRocket?

“Getting my email build on!”

I was a front end developer in my previous jobs and email does crossover into. I find it quite satisfying seeing a Photoshop template come to life in HTML, but doing it for emails has a much quicker turnaround so more frequent wins!

What do you like to do outside of work?

I’m an on off PS4 gamer, but generally I’m a kinda hobby fad type of person and like to try different things. Last year I did bouldering (indoor climbing no higher than 20ft without ropes) and did a couple of obstacle course races. This year I’m assembling my own bicycle to ride into work for the summer.

Where do you get your creative inspiration from?

TV shows, reddit, movies, browsing the web.

What’s your favourite song to work to?

I can’t pick just one song! But my favourite artists are Daft Punk, The Strokes, Interpol, Nick Mulvey!

Leave us with an interesting fact about yourself…

My name means “outstanding” in Chinese. My granddad chose it so I would live up to the meaning! It’s also a misspelling from Chinese to English, blame my dad for that…
